Meet the team

It all started with three nerds in one language learning accountability group. We talked about methods. We critiqued apps. Then we decided to build the Russian reader we had always wished existed.

Ira

Content

Ira didn't always appreciate her mother tongue. One day she met a Russian learner named Laru who asked a lot of questions about Russian. Fast forward to today: Ira helps people learn Russian on YouTube (and is married to Laru).

Tanya

Marketing

Tanya is a native Russian speaker who learns languages just to read in them. So far, she has tackled books in English, Spanish, Italian, and Korean, with German and Polish next on her list!

Laru

Development

Laru has spent his best years learning Russian - with Leningrad songs, drinking with Russians in the parks of Moscow, and finally marrying a russian girl. Languages under his belt: Turkish, German, English, Russian, Spanish.

Pepa

Barketing

Pepa may only be two years old, but her achievements are all the more impressive for it. is literally what you would call "hungry for knowledge." She has already chewed on books in Greek, English, Spanish, and Italian, and she is not planning to stop anytime soon — unless Tanya stops her, of course.
